  • Limited edition 5" square lathe cut single
    Record/Vinyl + Digital Album

This is an incredibly limited (26 copies!) square 5" lathe cut single featuring the hit single from Pink Guys debut album 2341 "Gimme Seltzer." The B-side "Hold The Tonic" is a preview of the upcoming sophomore effort entitled 1471. Comes packaged in a limited edition hand-made seltzer box sleeve and includes a download code for a much better sounding version of both songs. For those of you unfamiliar with lathe cuts, especially 5" lathe cuts, they aren't the best sounding thing in the world but they're cool nonetheless. And hey, there are only 26 of these and I can assure you it will not get repressed. The plan is to give these away as a promotional item. However if you are a Pink Guys or Forge Again completist, we want to give you the chance to get one. MAILORDER ONLY: IF YOU BUY THE 2343 10", WE WILL SEND YOU ONE OF THESE FOR FREE. DO NOT ORDER BOTH! :)

Includes unlimited streaming of Gimme Seltzer b/w Hold The Tonic via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

about

PINK GUYS is the side project of PINK EYES. When our good buddy Dr. Dave is out on a dig (he's like Indiana Jones only hairier), we have to do something to pass the time so we all switched instruments and cranked out some pop jammers. We wrote our first album 2343 over 4 practices in August while Dave was on some Inca Trail business in Peru. We wrote AND recorded our follow-up record 1471 in October when Dave caught pink eye (kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy, eh?) and had to miss practice. We're putting the finishing touches on that but we decided to finish the first track "Hold The Tonic" and share it with you all.

Our original intent was to just make a stack of these 5" singles and give them away. That's still the plan but we want to give the opportunity to some out-of-towners to grip one. We had 26 of these square, clear 5" lathes cut. We hand-cut down leftover authentic seltzer boxes that came directly from our practice space for covers. This is the second lathe release for Forge Again Records and is a companion piece to the full length 2341. Obviously lathes don't sound great. But it's still a fun listen. These are not very expensive, but 5" records will NOT play on all turntables (automatic arms hate them...if you have a manual arm it should play fine). Get on it now or regret it forever!

Limited to 26 hand-numbered copies on clear square "vinyl."
